Carter Lomax Counseling Department

The Carter Lomax counselors collaborate with school staff, parents and the larger community to create a caring, supportive climate and atmosphere whereby young adolescents can achieve academic success. The goal of the program is to promote academic achievement by enhancing the learning process through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program that addresses social/emotional factors related to learning.  School counseling programs are key to the achievement of optimal personal growth, acquisition of positive social skills and values, development of career goals and the realization of a student’s full academic potential to become a productive, contributing member of the school community and larger society.
